Ukraine’s president says his country received no warning from its allies before a Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv.
Volodymr Zelenskyy says Moscow launched 16 missiles and more than 200 drones overnight, killing one person and injuring several others.
More than 10 energy facilities were damaged, along with a metro station, a medical facility and other buildings.
Ukraine relies on a US early warning system to help it prepare for incoming Russian ballistic missile attacks.
Al Jazeera’s Audrey MacAlpine reports from Kyiv, Ukraine.
