Student-led protests in France have grown into nationwide demonstrations against rising prices and struggling public services.
Police have clashed with protesters in several cities, with the Interior Ministry reporting at least 272 arrests.
The unrest follows weeks of school blockades as students demand action over teacher shortages, poor facilities and underfunded education.
Al Jazeera’s Victoria Gatenby reports.
