Manchester City face Liverpool in their first game since the club was found guilty of all charges related to breaches of Premier League financial rules between 2009-10 and 2017-18.
The Anfield crowd is expected to deliver an angry reception for the visitors, with the backlash expected to continue throughout the game.
An independent commission found the club guilty of more than 100 breaches of Premier League financial rules.
This included signing “sham” contracts with commercial partners and using a “disguised funding system”, inflating their income by £830m over the affected seasons.
City continue to deny the findings and have appealed.
