Israeli forces have continued their attacks on Gaza as Palestinians mark one year since the US-brokered ceasefire came into effect.
Israeli fighter jets struck a residential neighbourhood in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza late on Saturday, destroying homes and leaving families displaced.
Residents say a building that housed more than 300 people was destroyed, forcing women and children to sleep in the open after losing their homes and belongings.
The attack has added to Gaza’s worsening housing crisis, with thousands of families already displaced and struggling to find shelter.
Bulldozers are clearing debris from the streets as residents search through the rubble for their possessions.
Israeli attacks have also been reported elsewhere in the Gaza Strip, raising further concerns about civilian safety.
A year after the ceasefire was presented as a pathway towards reconstruction and a return to normal life, Palestinians continue to face destruction, displacement and uncertainty.
Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum reports from Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, Palestine.
