According to a new rumor from a usually reliable source of information about HMD, the company is currently planning on withdrawing from “select markets”. It will also allegedly “scale down production for its global device portfolio”.
HMD is said to be shifting its “core focus” to “regional markets” as well as the enterprise/industrial sector. The same source goes on to imply that there may be no further HMD global product launches this year. Presumably, that means the company will only be releasing devices on a market-by-market basis in the coming months.
