A mother describes the frustration of endless waiting lists and difficulties getting appointments so her teenage daughter can get the help she requires

For Rosalyn, the battle for an official autism diagnosis for her 14-year-old daughter, Imogen, has been intense, deeply frustrating and has lasted five and a half years.

That Rosalyn has three other children who have autism diagnoses meant she was acutely aware of the signs.
