A Palestinian man was killed during an overnight Israeli raid in Al-Bireh as his family disputes the army’s account of the shooting.

A Palestinian man, Ziad Al-Yasini, was killed during a 3am raid by Israeli forces inside his home in Al-Bireh in the occupied West Bank.
A relative says they heard an explosion and Ziad’s screams before he was shot twice and left bleeding. The family alleges that soldiers used silencers and prevented paramedics from entering the room.
The Israeli army says Al-Yasini attempted to seize a weapon, while his family says he was unarmed and not politically active. The report examines the broader rise in what it describes as unaccountable extrajudicial killings in the occupied West Bank.
